The title track for this movie is the instrumental of the famous folk song - "Namma Kadai Veedhi".. The "Chinnamani Kuyile" song tune is used for both singing and BGM instrumental at various points in the movie. It infact serves as both the love theme and the pathos theme for the entire movie.
The movie was directed by R.SundarRajan, a director turned character artist. Manivannan, Santhana Bharathi and R.SundarRajan belong to a group of succesful directors who left the job and turned into character artists, later in life. R.SundarRajan also has the distinction of making Ilayaraja and MSV work together for his movie - "Mella thirandhadhu Kanavu".
